Projects
Skill Development Training
Through the Kushal Yuva Program (KYP), SKSM plays a crucial role in empowering Bihar's youth with essential life and digital skills. Our center provides:
Free 120-hour computer literacy training, covering MS Office, Google Apps, internet usage, and more.
Regular home visits, village meetings, and parent engagement to ensure participation and reduce dropouts.
Employment support and career counseling for students post-training.
Special emphasis on underprivileged youth (15–28 years) to promote self-reliance and job readiness.
Achievements (2023–24): 431 students trained; 70% placed or self-employed.
Our goal is to bridge the digital divide and enhance employability across rural Bihar.
Eye Care & Cataract Surgery – Jeevan Jyoti Program
With Bihar being one of the most blindness-affected states, our Jeevan Jyoti Program provides essential eye care services, especially in rural and underserved areas:
282 villages surveyed across Siwan and Saran districts.
646 village awareness camps organized to promote early diagnosis.
448 cataract surgeries and free eye check-ups conducted in collaboration with Ahilya Devi Eye Hospital.
Distribution of medicines, glasses, and follow-up support for patients.
We envision a future where avoidable blindness is eradicated and quality eye care is accessible to all.
Community Awareness Programs
We believe awareness is the first step toward social change. SKSM regularly conducts:
Street plays, cultural shows, and campaigns on issues like child marriage, domestic violence, child labor, alcoholism, and youth empowerment.
Sanitation drives in schools to promote hygiene and environmental responsibility.
Workshops and seminars with experts to engage communities on critical socio-economic challenges.
Empowered communities make informed decisions. Our awareness efforts inspire dialogue and action.
Women & Child Welfare Initiatives
We work with a rights-based and inclusive approach to uplift women and children:
Support for single women, mothers, and adolescent girls through capacity-building and health awareness.
School campaigns to sensitize students about child rights, education, and gender equality.
Collaboration with local bodies, Anganwadi workers, and ASHA to ensure integrated community development.
Our programs aim to create safe, equitable, and nurturing environments for every woman and child.
